Made cauliflower “hot wings” tonight. Air fried, low grease/fat, vegan batter. Super easy. Cut a cauliflower into florets (these were pretty big), non bleached all purpose flower, oat milk, panko bread crumbs (some added crisp not a requirement), I add some cajun style seasoning to the mix and black pepper. Cook in an air fryer until crisp. Then I add hot sauce of choice and mix it together. Serve hot. 🔥 Boom…reasonably “healthy” party food option.

#TBT Since it’s race week in Dubai I have to look back on my favorite racing memory. We ran the 24 in 2019 with @sorgrennsport and finished 2nd in GT4 on the final lap. It was a tough race with a large GT4 entry that year. It was a ton of firsts for me personally and I’m forever thankful for that opportunity. Since the beginning of the Dubai 24H it was always a dream to race and always the official start to the endurance sports car racing calendar. Special memories that year for sure with @bjoern_simon (who made this video I stole the clip from), @olafmeyer3 (who took us to 2nd), @fidel_leib, and @stephan.epp. I can’t wait to do it again one day. Oh and camels. 🐪

#TBT To not long ago when I got the chance to drive the iconic BMW E30 M3 around the Nordschleife. Unfortunately the car was in an accident in qualifying so we did not start the race but I still got to turn some easy laps earlier in the session. What a joy to drive thanks to @sorgrennsport.

Random photo dump from my recent trip to #california. We were at @racesonoma for a few days before Thanksgiving. I love visiting the state despite what my facial expression shows in the one photo. Everyone always asks if I prefer Sonoma or Laguna. I think Sonoma is a more technical and difficult track to learn but Laguna has a better nearby nightlife (and beach.)

Lap one during the 12H Nürburgring weekend in testing I came across quite a scary crash between the Stefan-Bellof-S and Schwalbenschwanz. A reminder that this place doesn’t play around and also a reminder a test day is a test day.

#TBT I had some memories pop up recently from when I use to run this MK1 GTI. I had the car setup quite loose, enough to tell @haleytibbett to go take a photo in this corner and I’d prove it. It was a fun little car when it ran! Lots of good results with it including winning the American Road Race of Champions in HP, The Mitty in class, and podium in the @sccaofficial Majors Tour. Good times at the track with this things just having fun.

Thoughts on the #BMW Z8? I always thought it was a gorgeous car, you don’t see them often as there were under 6,000 sold worldwide and not exactly cheap. Nice clean lines with inspiration from the BMW 507.

Quick photo dump from this weekend’s Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. I wasn’t racing or anything but what a good time seeing a long time friend @darth_dread_vader and sharing my passion. Of course it’s always awesome to see the rest of our Petit family and catch up. Also seeing Jenson play with kids in the same camp spot area we’ve been around since 1999. How times change. It was fun to get on track in the @skipbarberracing Toyota Supra and give some fans and guests hot laps before the race. It’s always special to share my passion by giving rides. Some awesome cars on the grid at the Nürburgring 1000km. It was a little sad doing a grid walk as a spectator given what happened in the qualifying but there was some real eye candy. Maybe next year. 🤷‍♂️

Well it was not the 1000km we were hoping for. Our third driver in qualifying with the E30 ran into oil at Breidscheid which led to a damaged car so we were unable to race. Luckily he was ok. I’m still thankful for at least getting to drive the E30 M3 on the #nordschleife for a couple of laps. What a car. We made the most of the rest of the day spectating (photo dump soon) and then in the evening got to celebrate @olafmeyer3 birthday with the whole @sorgrennsport team. 👏

Great weekend at the @nuerburgring racing in the @nuerburgringls 12H weekend. Our @sorgrennsport BMW 128ti ran great the entire weekend with no issues. We ran as high as third on Saturday and ended 6th after a penalty. Then in Sunday’s race we managed to finish 4th. A solid result. Huge thanks to the entire team for their never ending dedication and hard work. Also thanks to my co-drivers @super4racing @geminiracing.de_bernhardwagner @kurtstrube for great driving. 👍💪 I’ll post a bigger photo drop later.

ABOUT ME

My path to motorsport was different. Unlike most other drivers, I did not come from a racing family. My entry into motorsport was entirely accidental. My dad, who is an insurance appraiser, stopped by the race track Road Atlanta one day and brought my brother and I home some magazines and brochures. One article in particular, about the 24 Hours of Le Mans, caught my attention and that was all that was needed.
