Race Preview: 2019 Dubai 24 Hours

The 2018 season may have just wrapped up but we're heading into 2019 at full throttle. It's with my utmost excitement that I can finally announce I will be racing with Sorg Rennsport at the 2019 Dubai 24 Hours next month. This time in their Audi RS3 LMS (TCR) car.

The ultra competitive TCR class is a worldwide touring car format. Dubai already has thirteen TCR cars in class for the race with potentially more. I have been very eager to drive a TCR car since the class was created so it's exciting that I finally get to do so.

The Dubai 24 Hours started in 2006 and since has grown to be the international endurance season opener. It's popular among teams and drivers due to the temperature in January and bringing in such a variety of cars and drivers. Held on the 5.39km FIA sanctioned track, the Dubai Autodrome hosts numerous UAE based series throughout the year and has played host to series such as ETCC, FIA GT, and even A1GP.

It will be my first visit to the UAE so I have been training on the simulator to learn the basics of the circuit before we arrive. We have high hopes of a competitive race and the team is putting a stellar lineup of drivers together to try and give us a package that can win.

Stay tuned for more updates leading up to the event.
